Green Mountain Memory Technologies LLC (“GMMT”), a Longhorn IP Affiliate and a company focused on the prosecution, development, and licensing of advanced semiconductor intellectual property, today announced the acquisition of a strategically important portfolio of granted patents and pending applications from Green Mountain Semiconductor, Inc. (“GMS”), a Vermont‑based research company founded and owned by inventor Wolfgang Hokenmaier and two business partners.

GMS has contributed to NSF and NASA SBIR/STTR research projects and has a long track record of innovation in memory‑centric computing, compute‑in‑memory architectures, and radiation‑tolerant semiconductor design. This acquisition consolidates more than a decade of pioneering work in DRAM‑based neural networks, in‑memory AI acceleration, and fault‑tolerant memory systems, positioning GMMT as a key holder of foundational IP in next‑generation memory‑compute integration.
