LONGHORN IP ANNOUNCES KEY LEADERSHIP CHANGES

Longhorn IP announced today that Chris Dubuc, one of the two co-founders of Longhorn IP, will be leaving the company at the end of this year to pursue other opportunities. Khaled Fekih-Romdhane, also co-founder of the company, will become President and CEO of Longhorn IP.

IAM REPORTS PATENT TRANSFER FROM SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS TO KATANA SILICON TECHNOLOGIES

IAM, a world’s leading IP business media platform, reported the transfer of chip patents from Samsung Electronics to Katana Silicon Technologies LLC (KST). Longhorn IP previously reported that it has a service agreement with KST to license its portfolio of semiconductor patents related to the design and manufacturing of various semiconductor chips.

Longhorn IP announced today that Katana Silicon Technologies (KST) has dismissed a lawsuit in the Western District of Texas with Samsung Electronics and has entered into a license agreement with Samsung Electronics to license KST’s semiconductor technologies' patents. Longhorn IP and KST have a service agreement to license KST's patents.

THE NATIONAL LAW REVIEW COMMENTS ON THE OUTCOME OF LONE STAR SILICON INNOVATIONS V. NANYA TECHNOLOGY CORPORATION

The National Law Review commented today on the outcome of Lone Star Silicon Innovations v. Nanya Tech. Corp., Case No. 18-1582. Longhorn IP previously reported that The Federal Court vacated the dismissal of the case and remanded for further proceedings consistent with the opinion. The case relates to a Semiconductor Patents' lawsuit LSSI filed against several defendants including United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC) and Nanya Technology Corporation.

KATANA SILICON TECHNOLOGIES LLC FILES A COMPLAINT FOR PATENT INFRINGEMENT AGAINST SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS

Longhorn IP announced today that Katana Silicon Technologies (KST) has filed a patent infringement complaint in the US District Court for the Western District of Texas on May 31, 2019, against Samsung Electronics. The case number is 6:2019cv00344. The patents relate to state-of-the-art technologies used in the manufacturing of semiconductor devices.

US COURT OF APPEALS FOR THE FEDERAL CIRCUIT VACATES DISMISSAL OF PATENT CASE PREVIOUSLY FILED BY LONGHORN'S SUBSIDIARY LONE STAR SILICON INNOVATIONS LLC

Longhorn IP announced today that its Lone Star Silicon Innovations LLC subsidiary (LSSI) received a favorable ruling from the Federal Circuit related to its Appeal from the United States District Court for the Northern District of California in No. 3:17-cv-04033-WHA, Judge William H. Alsup. The Federal Court vacated the dismissal of the case and remanded for further proceedings consistent with the opinion. The case relates to a Semiconductor Patents' lawsuit LSSI filed against several defendants including United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC) and Nanya Technology Corporation.

Longhorn IP announced today that its subsidiary Lone Star Silicon Innovations (LSSI) has filed legal proceedings for patent infringement against STMicrolectronics Inc. and STMicroelectronics N.V. in the Northern District of California on December 19, 2017. LSSI is asserting that three of its semiconductor patents are infringed by the manufacturing and sales of STMicroelectronics products.
