Plano, Texas — June 30, 2026 — Dido Wireless Innovations LLC (“Dido”) announced today that it has filed a patent infringement complaint in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, Marshall Division, against Lenovo Group Ltd. (“Lenovo”) and certain Lenovo subsidiaries. The complaint alleges that Lenovo’s Lenovo‑ and Motorola‑branded 5G devices infringe four U.S. patents owned by Dido.

The complaint states: “Dido is a limited liability company duly organized and existing under the laws of the State of Texas, with its principal place of business at 5204 Bluewater Drive, Frisco, Texas 75036.” The filing further explains: “This is a civil action for infringement of U.S. Patent Nos. 11,201,656 (‘the ’656 Patent’), 11,330,564 (‘the ’564 Patent’), 11,337,230 (‘the ’230 Patent’), and 11,419,108 (‘the ’108 Patent’), (collectively, the ‘Asserted Patents’) arising under the patent laws of the United States, 35 U.S.C. § 1 et seq.”

Asserted Patents

Dido’s complaint asserts infringement of the following U.S. patents:

  • U.S. Patent No. 11,201,656

  • U.S. Patent No. 11,330,564

  • U.S. Patent No. 11,337,230

  • U.S. Patent No. 11,419,108

These patents cover core 5G wireless technologies used in modern user equipment, including innovations that improve beam‑level mobility, uplink and HARQ handling, control‑channel monitoring, and other techniques essential to 3GPP 5G NR implementations. The complaint alleges that Lenovo‑ and Motorola‑branded smartphones, tablets, notebooks, and other 5G‑capable devices — including, by way of example, the Motorola Razr Fold, the Motorola Edge, and the Lenovo ThinkPad T16 with optional 5G modem — implement aspects of the 5G standard in ways that infringe the Asserted Patents.

Allegations and relief sought

Dido alleges that Lenovo and its U.S. subsidiaries import, make, use, sell, and offer to sell infringing products throughout the United States, including within the Eastern District of Texas, and that Lenovo’s U.S. entities act as agents in distributing and testing the accused devices. The complaint seeks monetary damages for past infringement, enhanced damages for willful infringement where appropriate, and all other relief available under U.S. patent law.

Statement from Dido

“Dido is committed to protecting the value of its patented innovations and ensuring fair licensing practices,” said Dido's Manager Khaled Fekih-Romdhane. “We filed this action to enforce our rights and to seek appropriate compensation for the unauthorized use of technologies that are essential to modern 5G devices.”

Lenovo Group Ltd.), filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, Marshall Division.
