HAMILCAR SUES NVIDIA FOR PATENT INFRINGEMENT

Hamilcar Barca IP LLC ("Hamilcar"), an affiliate of Longhorn IP LLC ("LIP'), announced today that it filed a complaint for patent infringement in the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas on April 25, 2025, against NVIDIA Corp.. The case number is 1:25-cv-00620. The patents at issue relate to certain microprocessor security incorporated into ARM processors and technologies employed in communication interfaces, such as SATA interfaces, to mitigate faulty data transmissions.
In 2021, Hamilcar acquired patents on semiconductor design, fabrication technologies, power saving, and processor design techniques. The state-of-the-art technologies were developed and patented by Mediatek. Mediatek is a semiconductor company that provides chips for wireless communications, high-definition television, handheld mobile devices like smartphones and tablet computers, navigation systems, consumer multimedia products, digital subscriber line services, and optical disc drives.
