NORDIC INTERACTIVE TECHNOLOGIES LLC (NORDIC), a Longhorn IP affiliate, announced today that it has entered into a patent license agreement with LG Electronics to license NORDIC's portfolio of patents. In 2018, Nordic Interactive Technologies LLC has acquired a portfolio of patents from Intellectual Ventures. The portfolio relates to mobile technologies and video codecs.
Nordic Interactive Technologies LLC has previously filed a patent infringement complaint in the US District Court for the Western District of Texas on April 29, 2021, against LG Electronics. The case number is 6:21-cv-438. The patents at issue relate to patented technologies widely used in the electronics industry stemming from Nokia, a leading telecommunication technology company.
